This is a plant that can adapt to all kinds of conditions as long as you keep it warm. A Congo is a self-header that spreads outward as it grows upward. The glossy dark green thick leaves are spaced very close to each other on a single stem.
The primary vining stem becomes overgrown it can be cut back. After a few months it should begin to sprout leaves at the point of the cut. It can also be rooted before cutting back to create a new plant.
Philodendron Congos grow well in hot conditions. Keep these plants away from cold drafts and air conditioners.
